Latino Resiste brings back to life one of the most intelligent, creative and mindblowing Mexican neo-folklore releases ever. DEN5HION’s Rus3tr0n. A true testament of Mexican Bass.
If you happened to be around 2010s, then you know that cumbia, 3ball, and prehispanic beats were already a thing while at the same time darker basslines coming from dubstep were leaving the step-hood and joining the global bass releases.
At the time, a Mexican prodigy named Marco Polo Gutierrez from Mexicali, who at the time went by the moniker DEN5HION before switching to his current SIETE CATORCE started sending us stuff, and we were also introducing him to newer genres because his age he didn’t know yet.
The result of that exchange became Den5hion’s debut RUS3TR0N aka RUSETRON which has been easily one of our all time favorite debut releases.
Den5hion like a groovy virus, infected with undeniable Mexican flavour every single song he made for this release, starting with TANGO, so if you haven’t heard MEXICAN TANGO CUMBIA before, well, Astor Piazzolla got DEN5HION’s Treatment.
And from there, just banger after banger.
Not a single filler. Every single song has complex arrangements, bringing the neo-folklore to the point where it should belong.
