A-la Che Guevara, Ruta Panamericana del Sonido will be travelling from Argentina to Canada, although this time it is going to be a sonic trip, in where two main travellers, Chong X and Caballo, will be joined by local and foreign producers to reproduce in their opinion each country’s music represents to them.
This is the first station: Patagonia.
Our core vision was tango and argentinian cumbia.
Chong X, Caballo and Den5hion shared their vision of Tango,
This one the sublime opening track, a re edit of Mi Buenos Aires querido by Chong X
While Caballo goes for a total original track, blending bandoneon, with dancehall and funk.
Argentina’s The Binary Cumbia Orchestra drops a marvelous Cumbia!!!
and you will be surprisedby Den5hion’s Piazolla dubstep version and last but not least, Chong X and his great Cumbia!
Do you want the whole discography from Latino Resiste’s sub label THE REBEL RECORDS?
Some may have a simple question: what is the difference between Latino Resiste and The Rebel Records?
The main difference is THE REBEL RECORDS releases individual artists who work on a specific or many genres like Den5hion or Chong X, while Latino Resiste is about unveiling underground/no mainstream genres and producers in a specific genre regardless their country, and trying to cover the whole genre with at least one example of a subgenre..
with that been said, in case you missed any of the releases, here they are for Holidays!!
Our first share comes from this super amazing producer, sometimes called “the mexican aphex twin”
Den5hion and his first release EVER!!!
Next one is Djentstep Inventor!! the guy who changed and shaped a whole genre!!!!
few people can that title, Stefan aka Stereotyp who created Barefoot, Dave Nada with Moombahton, and Remi G. in this case with Djentstep!!
Very proud and happy he decided to share this amazing masterpiece with us.
In case you have missed one of the best releases not in 2011, but in a very long time..

TropicHell was a highlight for us, having the support from Sepultura’s and Mixhell Iggor Cavalera!!
Pedro Infame, Ezekiel, Lata, Jairo Mendez and Caballo united in evil
Our biggest artist til date and probably our most amazing release for 2011 is Pedro Ramaya Beltran’s el rey del Millo.
This was a great effort from Colombian producer Leon Murcia and Pedro Beltran.
A HUGE honor to have, Murcia and Beltran releasing their jewel album JUST TO REMIND PEOPLE the fact that Mr. Beltran is still kicking ass and Murcia is one of the best cumbia and folklore producers who are available for featuring and or gigs in Colombia or anywhere!!
Download OUR MOST DOWNLOADED ALBUM!!!! Pedro Beltran- El Rey del Millo (so wicked and it is only 53MB with full blast of 320s)
Our next guest is perhaps the only dub/barefoot embassador in Chile, Lata Ink jet
Dominican Republic’s Chito Rock is also known as the underground pitbull!!! This guy was a massive addition to our variety of artists, specially because he is one of the most wicked guys in NY’s Latino urban scene!!!
He released his self titled EL PRESIDENTE, produced by Munchi and many wicked producers!!! Download EL PRESIDENTE
Champeta was reshaped by Kinky Electric Noise and his Perreo Digital.
He teamed with many wicked people including a grammy winner for mastering the album and latin America’s best Music graphic designer Afromestiza for the artcover!
Beyond our expectations was the public acceptance for this album and the impact was even better…
Perreo Digital available in 320 or .WAV
As we said, the impact of this release was so deep that Dany F started doing his own vision about the genre, and few months later we have the honor of dropping a second approach to electrochampeta!! Download Dany F’s La Nave

Early this year TropicalBass, Mad Decent and Latino Resiste among many more websites released a Free compilation made by Mexican Underground leading blog Bootlegumachine n LR, called AZTLAN.
That release dropped some of the most innovative sounds from Mexico, including 2 songs from 3ball biggest names: Erick Rincon and Sheeqo Beat; who are part of 3ball MTY with their partner in crime DJ Otto.
Now, 3ball huarachero, has certainly broken the underground barrier, and slowly is getting attention from Mainstream Media in Mexico, and even though their music is highly appreciated, it is very polarized as it is still considered very ghetto.. Specially because the pointy boots (botas picudas).
A new generation of producers are following the path created by Dj Mouse, Ric Reyna, Alan Rosales, and later on Erick, Sheeqo and Otto aka 3BALL MTY.
This is an effort; trying to show and unveil some of these names for a “non-mexican underground” scene, some people who have been on the game since it started and for some reason are still “unknown”, even for Mexican public.
Now.. Like what happened with the earliest stage of reaggetton or Moombahton; Tribal used to have a very repetitive pattern, usually a 4/4 and beats btw 120 and 130 bpm..
Dj Mouse, Rosales, 3TS, Reyna are the pionners of that sound.
Until the new kings arrived….Erick, and Javier Estrada worked together in 2006, but then Sheeqo Beat came into the scene and started working with Erick on what we now know 3ball MTY.
Obviously having their own background and influences which altered and polarized the tribal scene, not only in MX but also it made it more accessible for global bass ears, although at the same time, it sent a HUGE portion of tribal even more underground.
If you want to know more about 3ball, and its social impact, you can watch this short documentary
and read this Interview I made to Erick Rincon and Sheeqo Beat
How did you guys started in tribal?
Erick Rincon: Before 3ball gurchero, Sheeqo Beat and I produced electro-house and latin-House.
Do you guys think you have a certain “style” different than the other 3ball Dj’s?
Erick: Well. I can not say we have a signature, as we all have very different styles, 3ball MTY is a crew, not just 3 dj’s, and Otto, Sheeqo, and Erick have different styles
Sheeqo loves Latin stuff, specially latin house.
Otto loves Dutch-house and Minimal house.
I am more of an Electro and cumbianchero (cumbia lover).
How did you started doing 3ball?
Erick: Sheeqo and I, were not doing so well with electro-house, besides it was impossible not to dig 3ball..every time we went to some friend’s party 3ball was there!!
So when we arrived home we came with tons of 3ball ideas, we did keep the synth and loops, just that we wanted to have a different base, more cumbiambera, heavier basslines, tropical congas, guarachas and shakers!!!
So 3ball obviously has a different perception from the public in Europe, North America and Mexico.
So I asked Sergio (Sheeqo) his personal views about 3ball
What is the Mexican perception about tribal guarachero?
Sheeqo Beat: Tribal guarachero here in my town, is “suited” by certain people, it is for lower class people or kids, although most of the people still find it disgusting!
However, people are different everywhere,European Public is more open, but even now here in Mexico we have played in many places that never played huarachero and people who were there loved 3BALL ! and they were all adults!!
One of the things I like most is that we have always handled the 3ball for people who are underage, or very young, they are between 12 to 16 years old, but this genre is slowly getting more respected from older crowds and that’s what excites me!, I think gradually Guarachero and 3ball will be more enjoyable for people who think that it is a genre that should have never existed.
About the Music from this LR presents 3BALL PREHISPANICO compilation:
Dj Tamalero, Tetris, Alan Pina,Ezekiel, Lao, Dj Rooy, among others will show this new blood and second generation of 3ball who are following Rincon’s and MTYsteps.
Even Den5hion is doing a Dj Otto 3ball/dubstep approach!!
