Latino Resiste keeps celebrating 25 years!
What a better way to do it than adding a brand new release from The Selvaticos, a Ragga Jungle/ Drum & Bass project straight from the streets of Bogota.
If you were, by any chance in Bogota in the early 2000’s, you probably knew about parties than later became the inception for Bogotrax, but even before that; there were some super underground ragga and jungle parties such as FuckFest or “Raves en Las Canteras“.
The Colombian ragga jungle scene does have some wicked producers like Kmmy Ranks or Alguacil, Dubkilla and so many more than rarely make it outside the city, let alone outside the tropical hemisphere.
The Selvaticos bring the full old-school vibe with vocals from the iconic RAGGA TWINS blended with futuristic basslines not only on several tracks like the opening track BACK IN TOWN or Coming Thru but also dropping Colombian Papayera drums and cymbals on “Billy the Kid”.
However if you are more into the craziest approach of Jungle tracks Ragga Rumble has you covered on tracks like Punany, Many ways U can skin a Cat or the eponymous track RAGGA RUMBLE.
if you are into Drum&Bass latinoheads like El Nomada then the final track PAPI CHULO becomes the cherry on top.
