This means 25 years since the first inception of Latino Resiste got to see the light.
At the time we were angry post-teenagers and to reflect that we could not fit better moniker than actually branding the label as THE REBEL RECORDS back in 2001 in Bogota Colombia.
Like-minded individuals tend to gravitate and quite soon, we associated ourselves with QuintoPiso records, a visionary rock and fusion label directed by Gux Swadharma.
And just down the internet roads we started distributing our very limited content for free, usually via mediafire links, and mega.
While our work was original, these type of file sharing started to blend with pirated releases and we landed quickly in the radar of one of the most amazing crew from LATAM ever ensembled ” El Rebel Sounds” and from there a beautiful connection with talented designer AFROMESTIZA started to create the visual narrative that eventually became LATINO RESISTE.
