Caballo – Recycled Revolution

To celebrate a decade in front of Latino Resiste, Caballo releases a new album exploring the current Urban Latino fronts, whether it is new approach like the opening track Souvenir, or exploring lesser known genres like Mode up (From San Andres Island) on the second track (Te quiero Para Mi) or even adding a bit of ska to the Urban Latino track (SANSON) Caballo wants this album to be a testimony of what the label and his own trip ahead of it has accomplished on these first 10 years.

As usual on any Caballo album, heavy collaborations conjoint lesser known names with equally leveled creative skills. Mixing party intended lyrics as well as political and social tracks.

A massive addition is the Dancehall track IMMIGRATION LAW with legendary Buju Banton, highlighting eternal struggle of immigrants trying to follow the nomadic path of reaching a better life in a new place faces global and social pressures by not only the actual travel’s dangers but also facing the systematic discrimination imposed by those who are afraid of interact with the newcomers.

Another great collaboration is done with Canadian Rap legend RELIC on Nothing to Spare (and later on another track SOCIALITE)

Global Bass pioneer Feral, and Russian basshead Chuck Upbeat are also present on a newer take on Tweet retweet, while Venezuelan bangeristas MEDINA and ALPIRE are present in the album as well, one by producing PUM PUM and the former co-producing Old-school Moombahton Mueve la Patica.

Dave Nada Hermanito’s own RANDIZZLE features Caballo on DURO HP.. a heavy dembow track that becomes a simply a laser bass slayer.

Caballo focuses on bass with the collab with Mr Shammi, and later decides to explore dubstep’s own RIDDIM on Sangre Mestiza, making this the first RIDDIM track exploring Latin-indigenous issues or Favela Bass on BAILE DO PAPAI

Call it an artistic recharge for his tongue-bending lyrics, which kick politically conscious messages tied to raw verses and sexual euphemisms. It’s exactly those elements that have allowed Calle 13’s RESIDENTE to transcend beyond the Latin hip-hop genre and make them a global phenomenon.

However most of the globe got to know Residente thru a massive collaboration with veteran artist VOLTIO.

They dropped Chulin Chulin back in 2005, and of course, having in mind the whole revolution led by Residente, Bad Bunny, Martin, and more PR artists, it was only fair to revisit his first global hit, with a 2020 update!

In the celebration of our 10 years, we had to get one of our most beloved producers from the global bass scene, Loki da Trixta, who has a knack for assembling and remixing star-studded, surefire gems .  Just check this NYC homeboy’s resume and you will find hit after hit after hit wheteher as a dj, producer or singing.

Once more, the good ole DJ delivers the goods with “HOW ABOUT DEMBOW,” which brings eclectic taste like Rihana, Childish Gambino, or Ghetto kids together on one solid 5 track EP.  How about dembow has a darkish sound, perfectly suited for the reggaetón-tinged vibe.  Naturally the production is utterly superb, with Loki’s choice of synths, drum programming, and an infectious groove making this a must grab whether for a party or personal abuse.

Caballo teams with young talented producer Jazzbeats whose Dale riddim got heavy love under Latino Resiste free download bandcamp page, and ultimately the track served as inspiration point for Caballo to get back on vocals to create a fun song about how certain female tourists behave when they travel to the Latin continet unleashing their inner pary animals matching the always festive vibe of locals.
Souvenir is part of Recycled Revolution which becomes Caballo’s new album.
