In 2013, a collaboration between their love for old school jungle music and Drum & Bass got together producers Chong X and Caballo to release JAH JAH RULES .
Then Caballo moved forward with the project alone to drop a second installment called Mayo’ Naizer in 2016 which went more Jungle-Bass, Reggaeton-Jungle and Grime.
Now in 2020 a 3rd chapter called FUTILE FUTURE and it gets to finally see the basslight after a long process of finding right balance, fans of old school jungle as well as those who like Futuristic Drum & Bass can be either pining for songs with typical Shy Fx flavour or for a whole new Ill gates type of sound.
In an attempt to appease both crowds, Futile Future lands somewhere in the between with safe, familiar sounds but also keeps a loose wire in terms of exploration. In fact, the quality of the collaborations/sample/edits makes the vocal talent able to lit the album and keep the old-school vibe even though some of the tracks, like Solid Defense, are a completely futuristic dub & bass . Futile Future is simply put one of the most concrete Jungle albums made by a adopted Latins, especially considering the reputation that these genre have gone through in the past few years in the EDM community.

Grime wasn’t exactly supposed to be the sort of genre that bred elder statesmen.
Bass music wasn’t either.
However, like many things coming from the underground scene; both ended up being major players in the mainstream arena.
It was a burst of thrilling anarchy, all these unruly teenagers fuming giddily over homemade PlayStation beats that sounded like malfunctioning spaceships. Grime artists didn’t play shows; they played raves. Young artists were old souls, and a guy like Dizzee Rascal was already radiating bitter paranoia at 16. Wiley, the man who probably deserves the lion’s share of the credit for inventing and developing the sound in the first place, spent his early years beefing with ex-proteges and loudly insisting on his own importance; he’s still doing both now.
It was the UK secret weapon on the streets. This seemed like one of those sudden bursts of collective inspiration that burns hot and fast and then disappears. For a while, that’s what happened, and old grime stars started making crossover dance-pop hits. Grime still exists, but on its pure form doesn’t bring the same sense of excitement that it had in 2003 or, for that matter, 2015. The fractious scene has spun off into a bunch of still-chaotic but smaller scenes, giving birth to UK drill and road rap.
That is why we are beyond excited to drop the first ever Latino Resiste full grime EP by our homeboy CHONG X .
Chong X come back EP is setting an amazing take for the genre, because it totally blends the bass spirit, while maintaining the grimey essence.
The album is set for FREE DOWNLOAD as part of our 10th year celebration.

After 2 years. Caballo is back with a whole new album which he decided to go back to his cumbia bass roots and get them to the new bass level.
The actual concept of the album makes it looks spontaneous. However, the album has been crafted to be perceived differently depending on who is listening to it.
If you are European, African, Asian or North American, you will listen to it differently than a Latino will do; however a Colombian will understand it differently as well.
And of course, I know everyone is different.
But what I mean here is the craft in details, they have been put in a way that is open to recognize elements, in a way, many songs will sound extremely close to you as a listener, or totally bass music, depending on where you are from, or how strong your connection with an identity is.
At the same time, songs will be kinda unorthodox, or will be cohesive depending on how many bass genres you listen to.
A way to contextualize this, might be the opening track CULO E VACILE
The album challenges what Cumbia and latin roots are in terms of sounds, but it also has explicit lyrics and organic sounds that complement the sampling process, a lot of the songs you are about to hear, have real drums.
Champeta, Moombahton, Zouk Bass, Dubstep, and Cumbia Bass are the most common genres that will blend into each other.
Chong X and Caballo get together to give a more cumbia-bass, moombahton mashing up Major Lazer & Chupacabras
This is a champeta collab with Molo Diaz, Kinky Electric Noise and Piper Street Band of Sol Okarina’s contacto, which was one of the best indie songs of last year for the Latino spectrum.
Lyrics and Music are really important, so there are tracks that have been designed to be cohesive with the #absurdus manifesto.
There are 3 songs for all the rebels out there: Belief which is a dubstep, This is now the time which is a Dub- Drum n bass and this epic Collab with Colombian Master PERNETT
But for DJS and/or dancefloor appeal there are few tricks in the album as well.. like a dope edit of WOST’s face to face.
Even a cumbia bass direction in a collaboration between Neki Stranac, Caballo, Carnnibal and yes, the epic Ragga twins
The biggest new genre of 2013-4, Zouk Bass, gets a different approach as well in a JSTJR’s Cerveja
Without losing his political focused releases: Absurd is also trying to open the discussion on 3 main elements that unite people from all over the world.
The gap between rich & poor, the tactics politicians do to remain in power, what media filters to manipulate opinion.
All of this, is absurd. It does not have any logic, and still, we are comfortable in this chaos.
And as you can see; it comes with an amazing art made by CUANTIKA STUDIO
that gives you the option of choosing which cover you want, in case you want to print and burn a CD
Bacondo, is the most recent addition to Latino Resiste. This duo brings the best of two worlds: ANDEAN ETHNIC sounds and Urban Global Bass to form this impressive ANDEAN BASS.
In the ephonym-Debut EP, Bacondo give us a trip in the dancehall-moombahton and big room while also keeping a close connection to their Andean sounds.
These brothers (J-1 & Man-K) did not want to sample, and instead relied on playing the stuff by themselves, and also gather a great amount of heavy ammo to collab.
Including Chong X, Loki da Trixta, Fucha Kid, Clinton Sly and DJ JB to create a Dancehall-bass cohesive vibe as well as an Andean-latino experience.
Think Major Lazer meets Los Jaivas.
This EP has the early support of Munchi, and more wicked supporters.
Drone & Bass. The Art and the music are connected in a way, as I do believe that even though some Govs are improving their forms of destruction. We as artists are also improving our ways of resistance.
For those who don’t know.. Caballo started in 2004 as a ragga-drum n bass- latin project which has evolved through the years.
Drone & Bass is a heavy return to those roots, keeping the sonic update, minimal, dubstep, trap, heavy bass, cumbia plus 3 amazing remixes by Chong X, Copia Doble Sistema, and Haikiri.
The album features 6 original tracks! and a very eclectic remix that has the blessing from Lucas Silva from Palenque records!!!
So if you are a fan of Cumbia with a twist + the new global bass sounds, this is the album for you!! PLUS remember it is free!!!
Main single, Bloodclot & Bass!!
which has 3 remixes from top producers: Czech/Peruvian Chong X
Chong X is a Peru based -Czech Republic producer whose flawless work has landed him in Man Recordings, Mad Decent, Tropical Bass and an endless list of labels and blogs. This time Chong X brings TUKI BASS ALBUM called LOCO, in where his approach to the Venezuelan Genre, blends with his own European and now Peruvian influences.
Loco is the latest from digi-label Latino Resiste although this time it has a unique feature.
The album is available in a variety of formats. from regular 320 to WAVS or Flac.
And it is a first timer as we set it for a PAY WHAT YOU CAN
But Latino Resiste has not forgiven that most of their audience loves FREE stuff so the release is starting from a very affordable rate which is basicaly the price for any average beer in a club.
THE WHOLE ALBUM has a totally new approach to the tuki scene. it flirts with moombahton and a bit of bubbling in the last track
Now if you do not know what Tuki is..
Here it is a mixtape with some of the most relevant Tuki Bass tunes in which we have included this Chong X Loco Album
