Happy Colors is a young producer from Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic (based in Miami, tho) who tries to redefine the Twerk and Bass scene without losing his heritage.

The 5 track EP display a good variety of Latin inspired tracks with a new bass twist.

Following the path opened by Freaky Phillip in terms of Dominican Urban sounds, we are quite happy to introduce to the rest of the word (as he gets quite some recognition in the Republic) to Mediopicky.

Mediopicky unveils a heavy Mambo- Bass EP called Mambo Clap, in where trap, moombahton and 808Bass meet the uprising Dominican Urban culture.

Now, if you have paid attention to the Dominican Urban uprise, you may know two names already: Munchi and Freaky Phillip. These two guys separately and together, have pushed the sound to the global bass scene, making it much more accesible to guys like Mediopicky to enter to the bass scene.

These guy also takes the genre to a different approach, let’s artsy in a way, and watch the video:

Many people in the Dominican Republic, have just rushed into the hype. And we are extremely Happy to be able to get our hands on this stuff before anyone else.

Now instead of trying to compare Munchi VS Freaky or Freaky VS Mediopicky what we have in reality is 3 excellent guys exploring the sonic boundaries of the Nu Mambo.

Actually Mediopicky is preparing a new EP called Cantina that is out soon, and we also will be expecting a massive hit from Phillip anytime soon.
