MELTING POT: CANADA

Latino Resiste gets super proud to unveil their newest ingredient to our MELTING POT series.

This time by adding some Maple Syrup to the recipe we’re making a delicious party meal where Canadian roots and futuristic bass meets with underground and some of their biggest acts.

Lots of Pow Wow bass beats, starting the compilation with straight flames from The Mississaugas of the Credit & Lakota Cree, these Native nations enchanting music blends so effortlessly with bass music that it was a no brainer for us to open the compilation with them.

Then we move to a 2025+ sound by fusing Drake and Northern Cree for a Pow Wow house rendition of MASSIVE

If you are a fan of Latino Resiste, perhaps you already know this, but when EZLN were celebrating their 20 year anniversary, Latino Resiste were part of their celebration and we released a native-supporting compilation. From that compilation, our conspirator, CARNNIBAL grabbed our very own homie Javier Estrada’s & A Tribe Called Red track INDIGENOUS POWER and somehow it became a native drum & bass/ragga/pow wow experience with the help from the one and only RAGGA TWINS!!!!!

That’s the one you’d probably would hear first on bandcamp.

Canadian Powerhouse NELLY FURTADO got the Melting pot treatment by adding some POW WOW DRUMS / TWERK VIBE to her amazing Say it Right tune.

Next in line comes from Canadian with Colombian roots very own Jessie Reyez whose Love in the dark track gets remixed by also Canadian-Colombian Caballo

This track is Canadian bass heaven!!!

Last but never least, we knock it out of the park with another VIP version of their amazing collab…

A Guarachero mix which then morphs into full trapachero…

A TRIBE CALLED RED AND JAVIER ESTRADA’s Sisters (Latino Resiste VIP remix)

THE MELTING POT SERIES will continue exploring some of the current underground sounds/genres from all over the planet and blending them with our Latin flavor.

Keep your ears open!!
