FAMA DE AMERICA- RE LOW

Venezuelan Dj/Visual Artist FAMA DE AMERICA brings the heat with her rebajada edits. A true jewel.

Latino Resiste keeps celebrating 25 years!! And we could not be moving forward without still supporting those who set the path for innovative Latino bass scene decades ago.

During the blog wars/Tumblr era there was a Venezuelan expats female collective who were mixing visuals and music in Europe. Whether photography, graphic design and of course, music; one of these fierce women is Isabel Soudiex aka FAMA DE AMERICA.

She is bringing the heat with her new EP full of rebajada edits with a wicked name: RE LOW.

Opening track Fama gives her slow & Sexy approach to Uproot Andy’s Luna Negra, and right after there is a cumbia rebajada edit of Becky G’s mayores that feels just right between Monterrey’s old-school vibe and Texas’ take of rebajada.

She pays homage to WILLIE COLON by dropping a Boogaloo and Sabroso edit ESO SE BAILA ASI

Then AfroPacific music gets the treatment with Vamos and last but not least a rebajada edit of Juan Luis Guerra’s Woman del Callao.
